The National Scene-The Sunday Political Talk Show Report on 3/1/2015

The meme this week was CPAC, funding for DHS and do not forget Bibi Netanyahu’s speech to congress this Tuesday. We analyze, digest, speculate and get sarcastic as we discuss what they discussed on the Sunday political talk shows.

FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Gov. Scott Walker, R-Wis.; Rep. Steve Scalise, R-La.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Reps. Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., and Jan Schakowsky, D-Ill.; retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson, a potential Republican presidential candidate in 2016.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio; former Gov. Mike Huckabee, R-Ark.; Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Secretary of State John Kerry.
STATE OF THE UNION (CNN): Feinstein; former Gov. Rick Perry, R-Texas; Michael Oren, former Israeli ambassador to the United States.

Fox News Sunday-Winner of CPAC straw poll 2015 struts his stuff

So Wisconsin Governor, second place winner of this year’s CPAC straw poll after Rand Paul, joined host Chris Wallace for some discussion on a possible presidential run. Wallace did ask Walker about his lack of a college degree which has the Ruling Class elite all atwitter this week. IF you haven’t graduated from Harvard on a Saudi funded no-show-at-class scholarship evidently one is not qualified to be an American president.

House Whip Steve Scalise showed up and waffled and weaved for a full fifteen minutes.

Here’s the thing, by our constitution congress (and the American people) are protected from despots and dictators by the power of the purse. So should a President, for example, declare amnesty all on his own for five million people, well then congress withholds the purse power that would find his unlawful action.

And congress, scared to death that the Washington Post might not like them, found a way to avoid totally closing the government….which means about three or four people have to take paid leave. Only a portion of the funding for the Department of Homeland Security would be unfunded in order to block Obama’s illegal granting of amnesty without input from we the people via our elected representatives.

And even with that they’re waffling bejeesus. Speaker John Boehner-more on him later- is a wreck, trying to get his people to fund a three week extension and only achieving a one week grace period to fund the DHS.

Judging by Scalise’s comments it was around 50 House heathens-no he didn’t mention Tea Party but we all know what he meant-are causing “the problem”.

The problem being not wanting a dictator running the show in this country but never mind.

MEET THE PRESS-Another Republican Waltzes around the Tea Party Types ruining their party.

Meet the Press was the most interesting political talk show this first Sunday in March 2015. A couple of current events were discussed that were intriguing and informative.

We begin with the political, of course, and House Majority Leader Representative Kevin McCarthy. Like Scalise before him on Fox News Sunday, McCarthy alluded to fifty filthy bastards in the House who are insisting on a democracy like it is intended, the nerve of those Tea Party types.

A most interesting guest was Joe Lieberman who discussed the upcoming Netanyahu speech before congress. Joe is anbibinetanyahu Independent but he is closely aligned with the Democrats, once running for VP for that party. While one might have expected a roaring endorsement of Israel’s Prime Minister, Lieberman was a bit mealy-mouthed.

Dr. Ben Carson was interviewed and he gave the most confusing answer on how he is able to align religion with science, what with him being a doctor and everything.

Whatever, I had to wonder why host Chuck Todd even asked the man such a question. He’s running for president, not pope!

There were two truly interesting subjects covered on Meet the Press. One was a Tom Schweich, Missouri politico who left phone messages for journalists to call him. He then committed suicide.

Scuttlebutt is that the state GOP was running what was called a “whispering campaign”. The whispers spread were that Schweich was of Jewish descent.

Say what?

I find it very hard to believe that someone would kill themselves because someone called them Jewish. In fact the story included the info that Schweich was Jewish by a great-grandfather and was proud of the fact.

There’s more to this story and my political nose is sniffing and my true crime loving mind is going to get to the bottom of this.

The other interesting story is the Blogger (who knew blogging was such a dangerous thing?) who was murdered in front of the Kremlin. Some scuttlebutt has this NOT being a Putin crime in that Putin would have just thrown the guy overboard in the Siberian swamp and been done with it.

In front of the Kremlin is a little ostentatious. I say it’s still believable because Putin…he thinks he’s got a little bit of God in him and he would only commit his political murders in front of the Kremlin.

Meet the Press had the most interesting panelist pundit comment of the day. One of the libs on the panel, in exasperation of Republicans who would use the power of the purse to stop dictators said, as I closely paraphrase” “The Republicans are really going to make us all unsafe by not funding DHS and all so they can deport more brown people?”

That’s what it’s come down to my friends, crazed Republicans deporting brown people.

Heh.

Stephanopoulos nowhere in sight on This Week with George Stephanopoulos

All dolled up this week, This Week has big angry letters declaring it a CRISIS ZONE!

Man I was almost scared.

Secretary of State John Kerry made an appearance on this show and he voted for killing ISIS before he voted against it.

NO WAIT!

This guy was all over the place. He did angrily respond to questions about whether and when America should put boots on the ground to crush ISIS. “We do not advertise our future moves,” he said in his haughty tone.

OH YES THEY DO!

President Obama told them all when we would be leaving Iraq. It’s regularly broadcasted when we might leave Afghanistan. What a liar this guy, who served in Vietnam, is.

New York Representative Stephen King, who never meant a camera he didn’t love, came on to expound about the Neanderthals in the House of Tea Party leanings are messing up everything for the Ruling Class Blue Blood Republicans, who do really resent this notion that Representatives should….em…REPRESENT!
==========================
Face the nation-JOHN BOEHNER!

So John Boehner did finally show up and first, this man has every hair on his head carefully spitted and shined and laid artfully in place. Maybe it was just me but I think Boehner sounded just a bit inebriated.

He was good though, defending the monkey ball Tea Party types in his House who won’t do what’s damn them all to hell.

They want to go to conference, says Boehner, and work out a way to both fund the DHS and stop Obama from his over-reach.

We shall see.

State of the Union-Texas Governor Rick Perry

I like Governor Rick Perry though I am not convinced he’s going to get the party nomination. And he does seem to need just a little more polish before running for the big job, at least as I see it.

He guested on CNN’s State of the Union and he did a good job. I was impressed.

And so it goes. Be looking out for the vote on DHS funding in the week upcoming and for God’s sake tune in to Bibi Netanyahu’s address to congress this Tuesday.

I do not respond to comments on my posts. I certainly have no problem with such commentary and, indeed, encourage it. But I’ve written my piece and I don’t want to argue it further.
Please feel free to email me at patfish1@aol.com if you want to send me a special comment or have any ideas or information you want to share.
NEXT :Got a post in pictures already to go, hang in there. And if I find the Sussex County Council I am going to write about them.

I had to wonder why host Chuck Todd even asked the man such a question.

Because he is a paid operative of the Socialist-Democrat Party.

I find it very hard to believe that someone would kill themselves because someone called them Jewish.

They wouldn’t. Unless they were mentally disturbed.

Maybe it was just me but I think Boehner sounded just a bit inebriated.

Too bad he couldn’t find some courage at the bottom of a bottle. The House controls the purse-strings, and he doesn’t have the sense to comprehend the power that conveys.

    Did he cry?

  2. mouse says:

Ever notice how the republican right always aways makes sexual issues and racial/immigrant resentment issues their sole focus?

  3. mouse says:

With control of both houses of congress, one would think the GOP could get some legislation passed? But all they seem capable of focusing on is sexual issues and racial/immigrant resentment issues. How about a republican immigration bill. They could show America where they stand?? Maybe a bill to round up 12 million illegals on trains and send them to concentration camps for deportation, lol. The party gets smaller by the day..

  4. mouse says:

Well they could all go to Fox and get softball questions about then inane. Heavens forbid if a candidate is aged if he believes in established emperical science or religious dogma..

  5. Rick says:

… one would think the GOP could get some legislation passed? But all they seem capable of focusing on is sexual issues and racial/immigrant resentment issues.

Yeah, “sexual issues.” Like the Keystone Pipeline.

  6. mouse says:

Well, yes and that obsession. Guess you people never googled the impact of tar sand removal? It is rape of the Earth in Canada so they can pipe the world’s dirtiest across the US continent to the polluting mafia monopoly in Texas to send to to our friends in authoritan China. It doesn’t nothing for the US except for the 1% parasitic terrorists who would destroy the earth to make more. Renewable energy is the future outside of talk radio..

  7. mouse says:

NAtional Geographic articles everyone should read. But I know science is opposed by right wingers..

  8. Rick says:

The pipeline will be built once Our Little Red Star goes back to community organizing.

  9. mouse says:

Yeah, Hillary is more corporate crook friendly. Losing twice to a black a man twice and then to a woman will be hard on you people though.

  10. mouse says:

And I thought Obama was going to declare Martial law, suspend the Constitution, become king and lock all you people in FEMA camps where you will be forced to eat sushi and read science books lol
