Thank God they fixed the climate last week as John Kerry tells us. And Karl Rove surprises with good commentary while The Donald defends his concerns re Muslims right well. A game of words with Christmas carols just for fun. Click in on the Sunday talk show thread for the updates.

Meet the Press-Lackluster Marco Rubio, Robust Round Table
Marco Rubio, Republican candidate for President, looked very nice, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. But his responses to Chuck Todd’s queries were lackluster and uninspiring.
Rubio got caught up in some question myriad with Todd about same sex marriage and Rubio came off as clueless and without a good answer. “It’s up to the states,” Rubio said, and Todd asked , if that is the case, then he supports the Supreme court ruling on same sex marriage, no?
Rubio again spoke a lot of words making no sense.
Secretary of State John Kerry was on a few shows today because, TADA! They had a huge conference on climate change and all countries agreed not to raise the temperature more than 2 degrees Celsius, I am not making this up. Kerry reported that Trump’s recent and incendiary remarks about disallowing Muslims entrance into America are not going over well in the Mideast. Kerry said Trump should be going after DASH, not Muslims. And now we must ask who the hell is DASH? Yeah, I know it’s the latest and greatest acronym for ISIS, the group of Thugs determined to kill all the infidels.
The best segment of Meet the Press was the round table of pundits in that we had a guy we have not seen in a while, Ted Koppel! Now I don’t particularly like Ted Koppel but he does bear a huge resemblance to my dear, and now departed, husband of 25 years.
Koppel and the rest of the MTP round table discussed the possibility of a so-called “brokered” Republican convention and the possibility of un-electing Rahm Emmanuel, Mayor of Chicago.
The Emmanuel discussion was a surprise in that I had no idea there was any discussion of ridding Chicago of this famous lying sack of crap, who held off showing that cop video so that it would not affect his election. Turns out the city of Chicago, famously run by Democrats since the 1930’s, has absolutely no way to remove an elected Mayor. Discussions now abound re getting the Illinois legislature to enact a law allowing this.
This Week-Ben Carson-Great try, but no banana
Ben Carson has been taking a huge hit in the polls of late and I’ll attest that it’s not because he is not a likeable, respected and inspirational man. In light of this ongoing battle on DASH/ISIS/ISIL I’d suggest that the soft-spoken Ben Carson is taking a back seat to the tougher candidates such as Trump and Cruz.
Ben Carson would make a great Surgeon General
Political Cartoon of the Week
Fox News Sunday-Karl Rove Surprises
It was on this Sunday that Donald Trump declared Republican presidential opponent Ted Cruz a maniac.
Heh.
I do hear tell that Cruz screams and shouts at Majority Leader Mumbles McConnell and caused John Boehner to cry….NO WAIT….everything caused Boehner to cry.
Of great interest was Karl Rove’s excellent commentary about the recent Climate Change talks. Now I don’t especially like Rove, viewing him as the GOP elite that have so made the party Democrat-Lite. But he did ditch the damn chalkboard and gave a rousing summary of the silliness in Paris that would have mankind declaring a moratorium on temperature increases as if mankind were capable of such a thing.
Rove expanded on how the poorer countries of the planet will most suffer, IF this climate change moratorium had any rules to enforce, in that they would be condemned to NOT using so-called fossil fuels whereas America had the wealth to move beyond rudimentary and dirty fuel with scrubbing technology and such.
Rove also, correctly, explained this non-story (for now) about a brokered convention. It’s a wet dream of many of the Lamestream press, Rove explained, and no indicator of any such plan against Donald Trump.
Whether you like Trump or not, the GOP-e has no right to force THEIR candidate down our throats. The crazy whacko Republican base demands a fair convention, at the very least.
CNN State of the Union-Jake Tapper-Best Trump interview of day-
Donald Trump showed up in a few venues of the day but it was Jake Tapper who was, frankly, slapped silent by Donald Trump in the answers Trump gave about this Muslim problem.
It isn’t about naming a country, Trump explained to Tapper. It’s about a religion and it doesn’t matter that the vast majority of Muslims are peaceful, or so said Trump, to the effect. It’s that-and with this Trump listed a string of attacks, all by “radicalized Muslims”-all of these attackers had one thing in common. Tapper declared that the Boston bombers were Americans, as why the goof in San Bernardino. Heh. Doesn’t matter where they were born, they are ALL MUSLIMS!
The Donald explained, calmly, that the sweet lady who was part of that duo in San Bernardino had been vetted by no less than five government agencies. Trump read some of the questions asked in this vetting process, to include “Are you a terrorist?” and come on, who’s going to say YES?
Trump said he only iterated what so many Americans think but are afraid to say.
Face the Nation-John Kasich-still Nasty and querulous
A Governor of Ohio and famous member of the GOP-e, Kasich is going nowhere but he continually jumps up and down like a monkey, declaring that compromise is needed, compromise is needed.
Or something.
Kasich did not impress.
My Take
Heh. Well we have the famously studious and peace-loving Prince Alwaleed bin Talal demanding that Donald Trump exit from the American presidential race and we should all stop and listen to this great scholar and American citizen.
Prince Alwaleed bin Talal was reacting to Trump’s proposal earlier this week calling for a temporary ban of Muslim immigrants from entering the United States.
It was mostly Donald Trump and his suggestion to temporarily stop Muslim immigration and John Kerry (who served in Vietnam by the way) all about climate change.
In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, a world wide group actually met in Paris and declared that temperatures should not be allowed to rise above two degrees Celsius and they really did that, AS IF THEY HAD SUCH POWER!
With absolutely no way to enforce any rule yet there they were, patting themselves on the back, full of themselves.
After making the resolution and all the speeches, they all boarded their gasoline gobbling private jets and headed home to do what they want.

I do not respond to comments on my posts. I certainly have no problem with such commentary and, indeed, encourage it. But I’ve written my piece and I don’t want to argue it further.
Please feel free to email me at patfish1@aol.com if you want to send me a special comment or have any ideas or information you want to share.
NEXT : Couple good posts coming up, including post in pics with pics of some very, very young local politicos, Sussex county council and some Delaware Tidbits.
Daesh, not DASH. And you wonder why no one takes you seriously.
Since it was cold enough last winter to make a snowball in congress and that convinced the conservative talk radio republicans that climate change wasn’t real, does record warmth day after day in December this year mean that climate change is real?
Where are the jobs from the Republican congress? The infrastructure? The assurance that social security and medicare will be there rather than another tax cut for the 1%
