Fox News Sunday>
It was mostly a Hillary email discussion and it was mostly sickening. First, whoever Adam Schiff is, he loves to kiss Hillary butt don’t he?

I chanced upon a video of the Schiff discussion and add it here for yon reader review.

Karl Rove, who’s getting quite pudgy nowadays, was part of the Fox round table. He got into a flap with Juan Williams that was almost scary. Juan Williams, as was his instructions from the Hillary camp, acted like that awful woman doing what the hell SHE wants at every damn turn is just fine and we should stop arguing about it. She is queen and she will soon be Queen President.

Trey Gowdy made one of several guest appearances this political talk show Sunday and he did a wonderful job. The talk show hosts tried to trip him up but he came across as calm, steady and in control.

We had more discussion of the Ferguson trumped up nonsense that resulted in the shootings of two cops last week. Eric Holder will surely go down in history as the greatest Attorney General this country has ever had.

Some talk about the Tom Cotton letter but this was handled better on other shows so lets move on.

Meet the Press
Here we had a most interesting guest in the form of Admiral Michael Mullen, retired, former Chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Mullen declared that yes, he thought Iran was of far greater danger to America than ISIS. Lindsay Graham also asserted this recently.

Of course we had to cover Queen Hillary’s special email privileges, goodness. Todd introduced the subject by calling it the subject of a media circus.

Say what?

Why is this a circus? Why is it that when the media covers something THAT THEY SHOULD….it’s a circus and not a legitimate media investigation? Because they are bothering the Queen, perhaps?

Todd almost badgered Trey Gowdy over the Hillary emails, asking why he suddenly subpoenas them during the current email flap and what does Benghazi, Gowdy’s investigative mission, have to do with this email flap.

I spit and hissed at the television. The woman is the one who orchestrated the Benghazi cover up and now that we learn she’s been deciding which emails to keep and which to dismiss we shouldn’t maybe ask if any of them might be about Benghazi? Anybody who thinks all those emails the Queen burned dealt only with Chelsea’s wedding raise your hand. I got a bridge to sell, cheap. Gowdy pointed this out and smacked down all other arguments by Todd hinting that he’s taking advantage of the Queen’s dilemma.

I had to fast forward past Barney Frank’s interview over his new book, please I don’t deserve that torture.

It ended with me learning that our own Delaware Senator Tom Carper NEVER uses email.

Why doesn’t that impress me?

This Week With George Stephanopoulos
Senator Roy Blunt from Missouri read a teleprompter for way too long and I fell asleep. Who picked him to go on TV representing the Republican party?

State of the Union
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell appeared on this show and he did a pretty good job defending the letter to Iran signed by 47 Republican Senators.

But the attack on Tom Cotton was the worst on Face the Nation, read on.

Face the Nation

tomcottonTo insure that yon reader is fully aware, last week Tom Cotton, recently elected from Arkansas, composed a letter and signed by 47 Senate Republicans it was delivered to fine, fine Imams in Iran.

The letter was nothing earth-shattering. It informed the Imams that any agreement entered into on behalf of the president could be over-turned by a future American president.

This is nothing new. To begin with, President Obama shouldn’t be negotiating with a foreign government like that knowing he does not have the approval of the senate. Per the constitution, the Senate ratifies any international treaties.

Now this agreement is being touted as an “executive” agreement, whatever that means. I must suppose it is an agreement made by the President but not by congress.

Or something.

In case yon reader wonders, below the Republican Senators without the courage to sign Cotton’s letter:

Jeff Flake – Ariz
Bob Corker – Tenn
Lisa Mukowski – Alaska
Lamar Alexander – Tenn
Thad Cochran – Miss
Susan Collins – Maine
Dan Coats – Ind

John McCain, ever the waffler, was on several talk shows lamenting his signature on the letter and whines that perhaps he acted too hastily. Man has no moral code save his wet finger in the wind.

It was on Face the Nation that a couple of snarky Journalists had a good time taking shots at Tom Cotton, as did President Obama I might add.

One dude from the Washington Post kept quasi-composing more letters that Cotton could write, including one to Netanyahu telling him that if America doesn’t like him we will ignore him.

It was supposed to be cute but lookit, Tom Cotton is less than 40 years old. He was in Iraq and Afghanistan. He was installed into the senate this past January and didn’t Obama say, to VICE…to the effect that he wasn’t worried about some wet-behind-the-ears creep who wants to make a name for himself messing up his anti-American plans.

This letter, it was more of a PR thing as much as any kind of warning to Iran. The Mullahs of Iran are fully aware that American president power has limits, even “executive negotiations”. This is no surprise.

The letter was as much a PR undertaking as anything and what the hell is wrong with this? The Republicans never do such a thing because immediately after you got weasel McCain on crying he acted too fast, alleged Journalists mocking them, and they all get scared, insert tails between legs, and run away. It was a great idea and Kudos to Tom Cotton for undertaking it and kudos to Majority Leader McConnell for not only signing it but for going on the political talk show defending it.
Thought of My Own

It’s not that I don’t have opinions, surely I do.

But I’m not much of an opinion writer. So I thought perhaps on my Sunday political talk show thread I’d add a little opinion piece of my own, said opinion having fermented and grown in my head through the preceding week.

This week I want to discuss Ron Fournier, yes THAT Ron Fournier, of the AP and known to be friendly to the Clintons.

Only Fournier’s been very tough on Hillary Clinton over this email flap and he is widely quoted.

Though Ron, hey, here’s what I read in a recent description of yours, about the Clintons. You said when you first met them you were delighted, that you knew they were politicians and talked out of the sides of their mouths from time to time. You described them as “empathetic”.

Say what?

An empathetic person is one who can understand and align with the emotions of others. It’s ole Bill’s “feel your pain” nonsense.

Well right there you got someone who’s not too bright. For anyone who had all the chances to mingle with the Clintons as Fournier has had would NEVER consider that pair empathetic on anything. Goodness Hillary is a woman who declared herself “broke” after leaving the White House. Anyone making $100K a speech and considers themselves broke is not empathetic.

By chance I tuned into a Fox news show, Media Matters by Howard Kurtz. There was Ron Fournier as a guest.

Fournier tells us that he once really liked Hillary and Bill and that they were very nice to his family.

See? This is the problem with our media. The Clintons, empathetic as they are, know how to use people. Does anyone think Hillary would have been as nice to MY family as she was, as Fournier asserts, to his family? Well maybe me, I am a world famous Blogger.

You get my point. These media people get themselves all wrapped up in the people they are investigating and it becomes a love fest. Than Hillary goes and flips the world the finger, her queenly self, and the worshipping Ron Fourniers are hurt.

It’s us boobs out here in la-la-land where we carry this country on our backs that have to wade through the smitten media such as Fournier.

I’m jus’ sayin’.

I do not respond to comments on my posts. I certainly have no problem with such commentary and, indeed, encourage it. But I’ve written my piece and I don’t want to argue it further.

Please feel free to email me at patfish1@aol.com if you want to send me a special comment or have any ideas or information you want to share.

  2. Dave says:

” To begin with, President Obama shouldn’t be negotiating with a foreign government like that knowing he does not have the approval of the senate.”

Huh? You mean the President should seek Senate approval before negotiating a treaty? Or that he should get the approval of the Senate in order to negotiate?

The Republican Congress embarrassed both themselves and the United States of America.

which is obvious to any objective person..

Got something to say? Go for it!
