Delaware Right - Moving Delaware Forward  Feel free to talk amongst yourselves. Maybe we could talk about why it seems, that Republican voters are off their meds this election cycle.

So, Barron”s Magazine, a subsidiary of The Wall Street Journal, which is owned by News Corp, which also owns Fox News, has endorsed Kasich for president…..no surprise there, right?

They were previously endorsing Hillary, but they changed their mind, and they now like Kasich.

  2. Henry says:

Just goes to show all who believe in the establishment are losers. Kasich was never a factor. That’s why the national and state GOP will never win anything.

  3. Rick says:

My guess is that the GOP “establishment” (i.e., appeasers who helped give us the welfare state, 19-trillion-dollar deficit, Obamacare, fruitless Iraq war, Social Security ‘Trust Fund’ IOU’s and so on) will never let Trump, or probably even Cruz, be the nominee. They would rather hold power within the GOP and serve under Hillary than work with a president (Trump) who is not in the hip pocket of special interest money. They put their self-interests above that of the country.

Now, they will claim- ostensibly- that a Trump candidacy will hurt down-ballot candidates. I doubt it. But what will hurt down-ballot candidates is some type of irregular process manipulation at the convention by the “establishment.” If Trump and Cruz dominate the primaries (as they are), and are somehow denied the nomination, you will see a mass-boycott by conservatives that will make 2012 look like a blip. And if this happens, the GOP will most likely lose both the Senate and the House.

Thus, Hillary will be able to appoint two if not three leftist judges to the Supreme Court. So, say good-bye to the Second Amendment and say hello to the Socialist States of America (which isn’t far off anyway).

How about the news from Panama about all the billionaires hiding money to avoid paying taxes? Not a word about that on talk radio. Now if it was a single black women with 3 kids who got an extra box of baby formula, you people would be all over it

  6. RWW says:

Now if it was a single black women with 3 kids who got an extra box of baby formula, you people would be all over it.

If it was a “single black woman with 3 kids who got an extra box of baby formula,” Bethany Hall Long’s husband would be intimidating and bullying her into voting for his wife.

Maybe cuz the talk radio millionaires hiding money off-shore.

  9. Rick says:

I thought Obama was going to take your guns?

If he could, he would. However, the GOP controls Congress.

It’s always funny to listen to Socialist-Democrats talk about the Second Amendment. To them, it’s always about “hunting.”

The Second Amendment has nothing to do with hunting, and everything to do with power; the power of The People do defend themselves against an intrusive government intent on usurpation and the power to defend ones self, family and property against aggressive criminals.

If there is a place that needs draconian gun control, it is in the black inner city ghettos. Oh, I forgot- they already have it. Unfortunately, criminals ignore laws. However, the law-abiding majority has the right to defend themselves with firearms.

Let’s face reality. No law can stop a dedicated lunatic. If they didn’t have a gun, they’d use a bomb, just like the maggot Muslims did in Boston, Paris, Brussels and Israel.

  10. mouse says:

Looks like the Pope is moving the church away from the self righteous dogma on sexual issues. The haters aren’t going to like this

  11. mouse says:

It’s funny to listen to the all the angry, paranoid uneducated types talk about the 2nd amendment. To them it’s always about the fetish with wanting to kill someone

  12. mouse says:

Someone is always coming for their guns and there’s always an imminent threat that requires stockpiling deadly force. You can just turn on talk radio and listen to the advertisers and get a profile of the angry bigoted paranoid type. Buy gold or something to protect you from the boogie man. Amazing how many so easily manipulated dupes there are.

  13. Anonymous says:

Mouse, see you have a voice here. But, if we went over to DL, we would get shut out.

It’s funny to listen to the all the angry, paranoid uneducated types talk about the 2nd amendment. To them it’s always about the fetish with wanting to kill someone.

Huh? Here is what I posted about the Second Amendment:

The Second Amendment has nothing to do with hunting, and everything to do with power; the power of The People do defend themselves against an intrusive government intent on usurpation and the power to defend ones self, family and property against aggressive criminals.

What exactly is wrong in that statement, and why?

Yes, guns kill. So do knives. So do bombs.

If someone breaks in to my house at 2 a.m., they’re going to surrender or they’re going to get shot.

If someone breaks in to mouse’s house at 2 a.m., he’ll call the cops. And if things go really bad- and they quite often do- they’ll get there just in time to outline his body in chalk.

  16. mouse says:

I may have a beloved gun. I’m just not sexually obsessed with it

  17. mouse says:

You’re far more likely to be killed by someone texting on the highway

  18. mouse says:

It’s the emphasis on the threat. The chance of someone breaking into your home and killing you in Sussex county is pretty close to zero. I have lots of friends with the same obsession. Most smoke, are obese, sedentary and refuse to wear a seat belt but they are all well armed in case the boogie man breaks in.

  19. Rick says:

I may have a beloved gun. I’m just not sexually obsessed with it

But maybe you are, since this is about the tenth time you’ve associated firearms with “sexual obsession.”

The chance of someone breaking into your home and killing you in Sussex county is pretty close to zero.

True. But I didn’t spend most of my life in Sussex County. And neither do millions of other people.

I have lots of friends with the same obsession. Most smoke, are obese, sedentary and refuse to wear a seat belt

Do they all work for DelDot?

  20. Frank Knotts says:

Rick said the only reason Pres. Obama hasn’t taken our guns, is because, “If he could, he would. However, the GOP controls Congress.”
Rick are these the same liberal RINOS you are always saying are just like the Democrats?
Can’t have it both ways, if the Republicans were just like the Democrats, wouldn’t they want to get rid of the guns also?
And yes Anonymous, we here at Delaware Right believe in expanding the conversation, not limiting it. We only ask for informed opinion, and respectful exchange.

    Can’t have it both ways…

The whole GOP contingent in Congress doesn’t consist of RINO’s. And even rural Socialist-Democrats (like Sanders, Manchin) would reject a gun confiscation plan.

  22. Dave says:

“If he could, he would. ”

And when the Democrats controlled the WH and Congress, they did take your guns. In fact, no one really has any designs or plans to take your guns. That’s a fantasy which you use to entertain yourself and the gun manufacturers use to get you to buy more guns.

Personally I could not care less whether you own guns or your plans to prevent tyranny. If our military wanted your guns they can come and take them quite easily. It requires nothing more than a double tap, without you even being aware of it. Of course you might think that the military would not obey such orders and therefore there is no real threat, but then if there is no threat what are defending yourself from?

Mouse is correct, for many people it’s a phallic symbol, not that there is anything wrong with that. Everyone is entitled to fulfill their fantasy as long as it doesn’t harm others. What you do with a gun in the privacy of your own home is your business.

  23. Frank Knotts says:

Rick responded, “The whole GOP contingent in Congress doesn’t consist of RINO’s.”
This is true Rick, so how is it? That you are always saying, it is because of the RINOs, that the GOP is a failure?

“The Second Amendment has nothing to do with hunting, and everything to do with power; the power of The People do(sic) defend themselves against an intrusive government intent on usurpation and the power to defend ones self, family and property against aggressive criminals.” – rick

The probability of using a firearm to “defend ones self, family and property against aggressive criminals” is pretty slim. The FBI Uniformed Crime Report for 2012 lists only 258 justifiable gun homicides by private citizens versus 8,855 total gun homicides.

  26. Rick says:

In fact, no one really has any designs or plans to take your guns. That’s a fantasy which you use to entertain yourself and the gun manufacturers use to get you to buy more guns.

Untrue. The new method is to pass legislation that will make gun manufacturers liable for damages, thus putting the company out of business. Another means to the same end.

The FBI Uniformed Crime Report for 2012 lists only 258 justifiable gun homicides by private citizens versus 8,855 total gun homicides.

Ask those 258 individuals about the value of guns for protection.

Most people aren’t involved in serious car accidents. So who needs seat belts and air bags?

… but then if there is no threat what are defending yourself from?

Criminals. Especially if you live in a city. See Murder Town.

If so many of you people fear guns, don’t own one. Simple.

The “gun problem” in the U.S. is most apparent in the black slums. Look at the murder rate in Chicago, New Orleans, St. Louis, Baltimore and so on. Criminals don’t obey the law. But just because criminals don’t obey the law is no reason to violate the constitutional rights of the vast law-abiding majority.

It’s funny- Black Lives Matter- unless they’re killed by blacks. Which happens to be the case in the majority of instances.

Many rural states with an extremely high rate of gun ownership have a very low per capita murder rate. This demonstrates that guns don’t kill- people do.

“Protect gun rights- Defend firearms- Vote Bernie for President !”

  27. Rick says:

Stats for our area and some rural Western states (2010).

State, gun ownership percentage, gun murders per 100,000 residents:

    DE….25.5…4.2
    MD…21.3…5.1
    VA….35.1…3.1
    DC…3.6….16.5 (Black Lives Matter, LOL)

    WY….60…..0.9
    VT…..42…..0.3
    UT…..44…..0.8

  28. delacrat says:

A gun is 32 times more likely be used in a criminal homicide than in a justifiable homicide.

  29. Rick says:

Fine. Keep guns out of the hands of inner-city Democrats. See Murder Town.

  30. mouse says:

If they never made another gun, there would still be hundreds of millions of them in people’s hands long after we are gone

The NRA and republican party desperately need millions of scared paranoid hate driven rubes to believe that the government is coming for their guns. It’s a political trick and marketing tool. Takes a child like mentality or someone malicious who wants to believe nonsense and votes against their own interests to validate their belief in nonsense

Delaware Liberal should be called Pravda or TASS. Censorship is necessary there, otherwise the petty apparatchiks might get upset. After all, a lockstep leftist can’t handle criticism. Why do you think Air America failed?

The NRA and republican party desperately need millions of scared paranoid hate driven rubes to believe that the government is coming for their guns. It’s a political trick and marketing tool.

I just heard Hillary blame Sanders for America’s “gun violence,” because he defends his constituents’ 2nd Amendment rights in Vermont. Have you seen the gun murder rate per 100,000 residents in Vermont? It is minuscule.

Meanwhile, in heavy-Democrat and draconian gun-control Wash DC, Chicago, New Orleans, Wilmington and so on, the gun murder rate is almost beyond comprehension.

Democrats, when will you learn that criminals don’t obey gun laws? And Democrats, why do people who live in areas with the greatest concentration of Democrat voters murder each other at such an extraordinary rate? Sure, Democrats shouldn’t have guns, but leave law-abiding Republicans alone. It’s not our problem.

Got something to say? Go for it!
