President Trump’s National Security Advisor Resigns

donald trump clown   I have, and will try to remain respectful of the office of the President of the United States of America, but the actions and mistakes of this President can only be described as a circus of clowns.  In the first month of this administration, President Trump has found himself on the losing end of a court case, and now his National Security Advisor, Michael Flynn has had to resign after being caught in a lie about his discussions with Russia over sanctions, before Trump was President.

The National Security Advisor is usually one of the people closest to the President, and most trusted. In this case, Flynn denied having discussed sanctions with Russia, leading the Vice President to defend him in the national media. Transcripts and recordings of the conversations were revealed, and now the Trump administration is once again on the ropes.

Gee! I wonder, could the Russians be setting the Trump administration up? If the Russians did play any role in Trump’s election, maybe it wasn’t because they hoped to work “with”  him, but merely hoped to “WORK” him.

If the constant turmoil and distraction continues, the Trump administration will find itself fighting for its life.

First of all, Flynn isn’t Trump. He made a mistake, although I find it hard to believe he would ever be subject to “blackmail.” Over what?

Of course it’s not surprising that the radical left would attack a man who spent thirty years defending the United States. The left despises America and deplores patriots. It’s revealing that Frank would celebrate with the 3-V left, with a fervor and excitement on par with Rosie O’Donnell and Rachael Maddow. Pathetic.

Of course, it doesn’t really matter. Trump will easily find another Security Advisor. Gen. Kellogg seems to be the obvious choice.

At this point, since the Socialist-Democrats are in full war mode, I would instruct Jeff Sessios to start an investigation- and I mean a real, thorough investigation- on Hillary Clinton’s illegal server, her e-mails, and anyone else’s e-mails who had any connection to the Secretary of State’s office. Any violations found- and there are violations- should then be prosecuted.

    Now here is an example of real, documented collaboration with the Russians in order to influence an election, perpetuated by the “liberals” favorite icon and murderer, Teddy Kennedy. From Forbes (and available elsewhere);

Picking his way through the Soviet archives that Boris Yeltsin had just thrown open, in 1991 Tim Sebastian, a reporter for the London Times, came across an arresting memorandum. Composed in 1983 by Victor Chebrikov, the top man at the KGB, the memorandum was addressed to Yuri Andropov, the top man in the entire USSR. The subject: Sen. Edward Kennedy.

“On 9-10 May of this year,” the May 14 memorandum explained, “Sen. Edward Kennedy’s close friend and trusted confidant [John] Tunney was in Moscow.” (Tunney was Kennedy’s law school roommate and a former Democratic senator from California.) “The senator charged Tunney to convey the following message, through confidential contacts, to the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, Y. Andropov.”

Kennedy’s message was simple. He proposed an unabashed quid pro quo. Kennedy would lend Andropov a hand in dealing with President Reagan. In return, the Soviet leader would lend the Democratic Party a hand in challenging Reagan in the 1984 presidential election. “The only real potential threats to Reagan are problems of war and peace and Soviet-American relations,” the memorandum stated. “These issues, according to the senator, will without a doubt become the most important of the election campaign.”……

Yes, the “Lion of the Senate” trying to throw an election by colluding with the Soviets. Now, there is no evidence that Andropov ever took any action. But it is the intent that counts.

And even if Andropov had acted, it wouldn’t have mattered; Reagan carried 49-states in ’84.

So all Rick has in defense of this is deflection, the old two wrongs do make a right argument.
Rick, what Flynn did is against the law, a federal crim. And Flynn is Trump, remember? The buck stops here?
I will agree Flynn seems to have a problem , he was also forced out of his position during the Obama administration for insubordination.
But I find it hard to believe that he went rouge . Isn’t it more likely he was instructed to have. This conversation? If so we may be in for another Watergate.
The transcripts of the conversation were available to the administration, they were warned by Sally Yates, and all they supposedly did was ask Flynn if he had the conversation.
Yes Rick Trump is either incompetent or the mastermind of a federal crime.

  3. Rick says:

Rick, what Flynn did is against the law….

Exactly what did he do that was “against the law?” Specifics, please.

Yes Rick Trump is either incompetent or the mastermind of a federal crime.

    What crime? Specifics, please.

From The Wash Free Beacon, today…

….A third source who serves as a congressional adviser and was involved in the 2015 fight over the Iran deal told the Free Beacon that the Obama administration feared that Flynn would expose the secret agreements with Iran.

“The Obama administration knew that Flynn was going to release the secret documents around the Iran deal, which would blow up their myth that it was a good deal that rolled back Iran,” the source said. “So in December the Obama NSC started going to work with their favorite reporters, selectively leaking damaging and incomplete information about Flynn.”

“After Trump was inaugurated some of those people stayed in and some began working from the outside, and they cooperated to keep undermining Trump,” the source said, detailing a series of leaks from within the White House in the past weeks targeting Flynn. “Last night’s resignation was their first major win, but unless the Trump people get serious about cleaning house, it won’t be the last.”

The slimy Obama bureaucrats and their apparatchiks:

Trump had better learn, and soon, that there is a war going on. Take no prisoners.

Meanwhile, it is likely that Flynn will be replaced by another hardass patriot. So at the end of the day, the Iran “deal” (actually, a treaty made without Senate consent), particularly the secret components withheld from the American people, will eventually see the light of day- and be rescinded.

The problem is that these folk have no moral compass. Their only real values are cultural and racial tribal resentment and the desire for their tribal team to ‘win” These aren’t folk capable of assessment and adjustment, just pure dogma and fabrication of reality if necessary. Trump indicated moral equivalence between us and the Russian leader. This would not be tolerable if not from their tribe.

  6. Rick says:

The problem is that these folk have no moral compass….

What “folk?” The maggots who smash windows and burn cars? Black Lives Matter radicals who chant “what do we want…dead cops” and “pigs in a blanket, fry ’em like bacon.” Or a congenital liar who was disbarred for lying in federal court and then paid $700k for a rape settlement? Or the Lion of the Senate, who in a drunken stupor killed his secretary? Or another Senator who was in the KKK?

Do they represent the “moral compass” directing your ideology? If so, perhaps you need to re-calibrate your standards of ethics.

  7. mouse says:

Yeah, that’s them lol. Self reflection is painful

  8. mouse says:

If he did nothing wrong, why did he resign?

Trump is in over his orange head. Bigly.

And the Russians probably got the goods on him

Was one of BO’s last acts as President to turn the US “security establishment into an American Stasi? And why did he wait until after the election to do this? Gee, I wonder….

From the New York Times, Jan 17, 2017,

WASHINGTON — In its final days, the Obama administration has expanded the power of the National Security Agency to share globally intercepted personal communications with the government’s 16 other intelligence agencies before applying privacy protections.

The new rules significantly relax longstanding limits on what the N.S.A. may do with the information gathered by its most powerful surveillance operations, which are largely unregulated by American wiretapping laws. These include collecting satellite transmissions, phone calls and emails that cross network switches abroad, and messages between people abroad that cross domestic network switches.

The change means that far more officials will be searching through raw data. Essentially, the government is reducing the risk that the N.S.A. will fail to recognize that a piece of information would be valuable to another agency, but increasing the risk that officials will see private information about innocent people.

Attorney General Loretta E. Lynch signed the new rules, permitting the N.S.A. to disseminate “raw signals intelligence information,” on Jan. 3, after the director of national intelligence, James R. Clapper Jr., signed them on Dec. 15, according to a 23-page, largely declassified copy of the procedures….

Sen. Pat Roberts should immediately start an investigation to determine exactly who had initial access to date collected under the revised NSA protocols implemented by Obama in the last stages of his presidency. While diluted transcripts of various intercepts trickle-down the echelon, somebody is responsible for accessing and regulating the flow. Who?

    I would subpoena:

    Barack Hussein Obama
    Sally Yates
    Jeh Johnson
    Loretta Lynch
    James Clapper

….and anyone else who would be ultimately responsible for the supposed “leaks”- actually the release of classified, private data- to the NY Times and others. Someone is responsible. Who?

What did Obama, Clapper, Rice et. al. know- and when- and how and why- did they know it?

  12. mouse says:

Do Bush/Cheney have recording of Iraq invasion conversations too

  13. Honi Soit says:

Maybe Rick could just call on his son to sleuth this out.

  14. Honi Soit says:

It’s looking increasingly likely that Russia has infiltrated the highest levels of our government

  15. Rick says:

Maybe Rick could just call on his son to sleuth this out.

Careful…you’ll find yourself on the no-fly list.

Funny you should mention my son. He spent the week in Newark. The company he works for has a cybersecurity center there, and we met for lunch. I had never been to Newark.

  16. fightingbluehen says:

“What did Obama, Clapper, Rice et. al. know- and when- and how and why- did they know it?”

Seeing that the case involves national security, I believe we will see multiple journalists subpoenaed….Will they talk?.. Probably not…..They might even go to jail for awhile, but they will be considered heroes to the left for not talking, and it could end up embarrassing the administration when the media spins it.

  17. Honi Soit says:

Trump now is channeling Stalin and other tyrants:

The FAKE NEWS media (failing @nytimes, @NBCNews, @ABC, @CBS, @CNN) is not my enemy, it is the enemy of the American People! SICK!

A free press can never be the enemy of the people.

  18. Frank Knotts says:

Honi, you forgot how he praised Faux News in the morning “Faux and Friends”. He seems on track for creating the new Pravda right here in the USA. First step? Discredit all others, and then shut them down.

  19. Rick says:

The leftist-wing “mainstream” press doesn’t provide news, but propaganda. They fawn over Socialist-Democrats and vilify Republicans. It’s not just Trump; they hammered Bush for eight years and canonized Obama for eight more. “Socialist Democrats good, Republicans bad,” just like the sheep in Animal Farm.

The “conservative media” consists of Fox News, Breitbart, Drudge, Front Page Mag, a few other obscure publications, websites and and talk radio.

Parenthetically, it’s interesting how “liberal” talk radio usually fails. Viewers can’t challenge some guy reading a liberal screed on a TV screen. The nonsense goes unchallenged. Not so with talk radio- the propagandist must face the callers’ scrutiny. And they always have trouble defending their socialist positions, which are inherently difficult to justify. They ultimately become an embarrassment to the cause. They fail.

    Now, to the “liberal” Pravda cabal;

ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS, CNN, ESPN, Hollywood, The Washington Post, The New York Times, The L.A. Times, The Chicago Tribune, The Miami Herald, The Boston Globe along with virtually every other major city newspaper, Time, Newsweek, The New Yorker, Vanity Fair and on and on. And let’s not forget Big Academia, and their relentless “liberal” crusade.

It is amazing that despite the media imbalance, the GOP wields such power as it does, at the state and federal levels. Absolutely amazing.

And it tells us something else; that the American people just don’t believe the “mainstream” press. Like Trump, the citizens of thirty states see the “press” for what they are; the Propaganda Wing of the Socialist-Democrat Party. The “free press” is a mirage.

What is refreshing is that Trump, like Reagan, isn’t afraid to call them what they are- apparatchiks.

A one-sided press isn’t a free press. It is a conglomeration of liars, schemers and frauds.

  20. delacrat says:

    “The leftist-wing “mainstream” press ………” – rick

If there was such a thing, “The leftist-wing “mainstream” press” would have given Jill Stein as much coverage as Donald Trump.

  21. Rick says:

They didn’t give Stein much space because she was irrelevant. Big Media was all-in for Hillary.

They gave Trump more press than Stein because he was much more entertaining. And they figured he’d lose anyway. Oops.

Of course, to delacrat, Rachel Maddow, Van Jones and Chris Matthews are conservative.

Got something to say? Go for it!
