Meet the Press-Get a load of this “Round Table”

MTP had a litany of presidential contenders on, to include Donald Trump, Bernie Sanders, Carly Fiorina and an interesting vignette with Diane Feinstein, Chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee.

Trump went into a litany of how wonderful he is, how great his stint on Saturday Night Live (I watched most of it, it was pretty good), how he’s going to save America and how Ben Carson has this odd habit of exaggeration.

Bernie Sanders was Bernie Sanders, enough said. Carly Fiorina showed up.

dr11.08.15sundaypolidianefeinsteinDiane Feinstein indicated that the recent crash of the Russian airplane over Egypt was probably caused by an onboard bomb.

She also said that there should be boots on the ground in Syria.

Finally, let’s stop and ponder the composition of this Sunday political talk show’s so-called round table: Glen Ifill of PBS, Marc Caputo of Politico and Rachel Maddow of MSNBC. Come on, you couldn’t find somebody just a little conservative?

State of the Union-Rand Paul and marijuana

For another change of pace we have Rand Paul on this Sunday talk show and he too was asked about the Russian plane crash. Nothing major was introduced on the part of Paul on airline safety.

Intriguingly, Paul said Dick Cheney has been wrong on foreign policy many times. Like he knows much of anything about foreign policy. Called Lybia “Hillary’s war”. Says Marco Rubio wants a war in Libya.

Asked about changing the classification of marijuana as requested by Hillary. Seems to want to eliminate what he calls “the drug war”.

He presented himself well, he has a distinct view even if not mine. I have more respect for one who sticks to their principles even if they are not my principles. So I respect Rand Paul but will not likely vote for him unless he is the final nominee.

Which I doubt.

This Week-ABC -Best Carson interview of the week

While Ben Carson was interrogated on all the shows this week but it was on this show that he really shone.

Ben Carson informed George Stephanopoulos that he managed to find that Yale paper that showed him honored as most honest in a Psychology class. “Why couldn’t any of those making the charge find it?”

Supposedly Ben Carson was the only student who remained in class for a Psychology course and the professor honored him with the title of Most Honest.

It’s complicated and involved old memories and names that lost letters for the years. But Carson’s crew found proof that his story is true and Carson asked, to the sound of crickets, why all those who claim being unable to locate any proof of this story could not find what his people obtained?

Says they’re going to release this information soon.

Fox News Sunday-Chris Christie

This show reported on the Russian plane crash and stated that it’s 90% sure that the crash was caused by a bomb.

BUT….there was hesitation….read “My Take” for, eh…my take on this crash. Being investigated by a joint Egyptian/Russian task force.

There’s honesty right there.

For a change of pace, we had NJ Governor Chris Christie on this Sunday political talk show.

Seems Christie has a video that’s going viral on the Internet, theme about addiction and compassion. Christie tells story of his mother addicted to cigarettes. “Nobody was mean to her when she got lung cancer,” Christie said, to the effect. Point being, I must suppose, we should be kind to addicts.

Face the Nation-Kirsten Gillibrand

On the Armed Services Committee….wow, kind of anti-Obama. Says he’ll need to go before congress if he dr11.08.wants permission to put troops on the ground in Syria.

Sounds like a Democratic resistance.

My Take

Donald Trump was very funny on Saturday Night Live, let me say. I really loved the skit where the President of Mexico came to the oval office to personally deliver the payment for the new border fence.

Heh.

And we are to understand that Donald Trump pulled in a viewership of over ten million while Hillary only hit four million.

Trump also endlessly nipped at opponent Ben Carson, hinting that Carson is a pathological liar, essentially joining forces with the Lamestream media The Donald professes to despise. Sure Carson is his opponent but The Donald sure can be snarky.

Which is part of his charm.

I am very intrigued by this Russian airplane crash and for now I’m going to take a stand.

I do not believe that this plane crashed because ISIS somehow got a bomb into the cargo hold.

I just do not believe that even though Feinstein and Gillibrand both tell us it was probably a bomb.

I believe that airplane broke apart because the Russians are not known world wide for their wonderful airplane maintenance. And this airplane is reported to have lost a tail some many years ago, right about the time now that would cause it to break off.

Just a hunch. I consider it interesting that it’s only Democrats declaring that ISIS did this. ISIS doesn’t have what it takes to get a bomb on board.

But for some bucks, the Egyptians will lie, some American congress people will lie and it’s interesting how they got Feinstein and Gillibrand out there.

A few Russian rubles and no problem, we blame a bunch of adolescent thugs.

Again, just a hunch from a seasoned news junkee.

NEXT : Got a real nice assessment of the upcoming Governor race in 2016. Plus an update on strange court cases with some tidbits and post in pics following behind. Oh, and that DNREC thing, talking to Rich Collins about this.

Carson’s claim about the psychology class is indeed backed up by a Yale student newspaper – a parody edition. http://m.motherjones.com/files/blog_yale_exam_parody_0.jpg

Not sure how anyone can listen to Carson answer questions and see him as a potential POTUS

Got something to say? Go for it!
