With a Picture Worth a Thousand Words, We’ve Got Several Thousand With Pics of Delaware Goings-On. Plus a little editorializing on illegal immigration and President Joe Biden

Some nostalgic pics around Delaware including overturned chicken trucks and various politicos doing their stuff. Couple of editorials by me on illegal immigration and President Biden

Ruth Briggs King Again doing everything but running for Governor

Rep. Briggs King and a few of her colleagues met a number of extraordinary people this year at the Delaware Burn Camp. This week-long camp, held recently at Camp Barnes, is free for children between the ages of 6-18 who have sustained a serious burn injury. The mission is to assist these young burn victims in their adjustment to the injury through the provision of a safe, supportive environment and providing companionship through physical and social activities in a camp setting. It was a wonderful day to spend with the staff and camp participants!

Soon I shall be putting up pics of King as she patrols the state campaigning for the governorship.

Carper Explains Transportation Fund

The picture is no longer available but my notes say Carper was discussing the Delaware Transportation Fund.

We all know it was a bunch of lies but here tis.

The cool guys of Delaware Cooperative

I only know there was a meeting of the Delaware Cooperative recently and came across this pic. They look like they could start singing “YMCA”!

Meeting was in Harrington.

In his brave memory-Chad Spicer

delritepicturepost9.1.15chadspicer

I didn’t know Chad Spicer but I sure remember the day he was killed. Spicer was a Georgetown police officer and I believe he was working a call from a local McDonald’s.

I live off of Route 9 and let there be ambulances and helicopters around and we hear them. Spicer has been in many Sussex county memories this past week as it is the anniversary of his death.

I remember the wailing sirens….over and over and over. I was weeding the garden and I stood up and listened. For many minutes the sirens wailed. I looked at my husband and said, quietly, “Something terrible has happened.”

Chad left a daughter I believe. Here’s to his brave memory.

A Sussex County Sight

One of the first things my granddaughter learned when she moved to Sussex county was what a chicken truck looked like.

Here’s one turned over recently. How I recall the times when I would run into a strange pile of feathers in the middle of the road when I moved to Sussex county.

President Joe Biden

So you read it here first folks but I am by no means the only one with such speculation.

First, no way are the Democrats going to let Hillary run, goodness she’s terrible. And her email issues aren’t helping and we’re sick of this woman.

Speculation abounds that our own Joe Biden, former Delaware Senator and current Vice-President, is considering running for the Democratic presidential nomination.

No way will the money people pile on Biden, I’m just sorry.

First, he was a terrible candidate before. Second, he has since committed so many gaffes and had his hands all over everybody around him that it would nonsense to nominate him. And finally, he recently suffered the loss of his son. While this might not normally stop presidential ambitions-after all, NOT doing something never brought a loved one back from death-but it’s for sure a good reason for Joe to graciously step down once he knows nobody will be pouring money upon him.

If you want to know who would be a good replacement for Hillary, not that I want to give the Democrats advice, I’d go with Jim Webb. The Democrats needs a strong contender and Webb is the closest they have. Webb is a former Secretary of the Navy.

illegal immigration

So now Jeb Bush is out speaking Spanish and Trump tells him, in the heat of campaign rhetoric, to speak English and set a good example.

Now we got the liberals all atwitter as telling people to speak English is the latest and greatest form of political incorrectness. Someday folks, given this PC crowd, you will be out and about doing business and speaking English. Suddenly the hoards will descend upon us for daring to speak that strange language.

If ever there was a definition of how the political elite view the world and the schlubs like you and I who lock our doors and maintain our fences, it’s this issue of illegal immigration.

First, it’s ILLEGAL immigration most of us are against and that does NOT make us radicals. And I don’t want to hear about the innocent child born in America to illegal immigrants, boo hoo….how heartless to return that child to a country he or she never lived in.

TOO BAD!

You elected dopes shouldn’t have allowed them to come into the country via a decent wall or some system that the dumbest countries in the world use to protect their borders.

If you’re a political elite, elected to represent the people but doing nothing to protect the borders….forget getting elected. Jeb Bush tells us we are heartless sending those illegals home. I suppose I would be heartless to shoo strangers out of my home should they break in and make themselves at home. Perhaps heartlessness would include chasing strangers out of my yard that they do not belong there.

The use of the smarky “heartless” word illustrates more than anything how out of touch those political elites are.

The truth of the matter, and please do not tell Jeb Bush for my advice might well get him elected and I do not want that, is the political elites who allowed this invasion of illegal aliens need to face the truth and tell it widely.

Because when Ronald Reagan granted amnesty to some 5-6 million illegal aliens we were told that it would not happen again. We were not heartless when we agreed to this, as a country America was kind, voted for it via their representatives….boom, have a good life.

Now some 25 years later they say “Oops, our bad. We let some more illegal aliens in and we need amnesty again” and we’re supposed to accept that?

If Jeb Bush, or Rick Perry or any other fool trying to pee upon our feet and tell us it’s raining, would just sit and tell the truth about America’s immigration problem, maybe we’d sit and listen.

The truth of the matter is that they screwed up and in this day of technology that can track, using Trump’s example, a UPS package as it travels the planet earth, we let these people in and what? Just lose them?

Protecting a country’s borders is the number one job of the elected politicos. They did a lousy job and now call us heartless for daring to point it out.

They can all go straight to hell.

ummmmm – how does one RETURN a child to a county they never were in to begin with?

this is the kind of logic that defies interpretation……

and even if the parent take that child to the PARENTS county of origin , the child being a citizen can come to he US and have all the rights and benefits of a citizen, however, they may not have the education or skills to be a productive citizen, but have the right to entitlement benefits

    talk about short-sighted

  3. mouse says:

It’s mostly about emphasis. The right wing obsession over illegals above all other issues such as who is hiring the illegals, outsourcing of jobs by the 1% and securing SS and Medicare speak volumes about priorities. Such pandering to tribal resentments demonstrates a party without vision that relies on racial resentments for votes..

  4. mouse says:

Where are all the rallies, fist shaking and talk radio rants against the people who hire illegals? It’s very telling to people who aren’t afraid of critical analysis and the educated.

Got something to say? Go for it!
