What Passes For Political Discussion In Fringe Land

Rumor Has It

The rumor is, and it has also been mentioned in the media at noon, that the current Secretary of DNREC, Collin O’Mara will be holding a conference call within DNREC today at 1:30 p.m. to announce his departure.

Of course any speculation at this time is premature, however the most likely reason for him leaving would be that he has been offered some cushy environmental position in D.C.

This is likely merely the first of this type of departure from the Markell administration. Setting up his people with jobs while he still has influence left in his last term.

I will update this story as more information becomes available.

Georgetown Candidate Forum

georgetown circle   To be honest I had read an announcement of the upcoming candidate forum, to be held tonight in Georgetown, and had forgotten all about it. That was until I was on my way home and happened to be coming through Georgetown and remembered.

Maybe it slipped my mind because it wasn’t a forum for  candidates running for the U.S. Senate, or Congress. It wasn’t for candidates running for a Delaware statewide office like governor, or even treasurer.  It wasn’t even for candidates running for the Delaware Legislature. Continue reading →
